Nuveen has sold Southside at McEwen, a 92,470-square-foot grocery-anchored retail center at 1554 W McEwen Drive in Franklin, to a high-net-worth family office advised by Lincoln Property Company. JLL Capital Markets arranged the October sale. Price was not disclosed.
Built in 2012 on 10.5 acres, the center was developed by Franklin-based Southern Land Company in a joint venture with Denver-based Amstar. It was 100% leased at sale.
A 45,047-square-foot Whole Foods Market anchors the property. It ranks as the most visited Whole Foods in Tennessee and among the top-performing stores nationally. Other tenants include Lululemon, Flower Child, Solidcore, BrickTop's, Kendra Scott, Fab'rik and PNC Bank. In-line shops average more than $800 per square foot in sales.
The property last traded in 2014 for approximately $44 million to TIAA-CREF, whose investment management business later became part of Nuveen. The center sits near Interstate 65 at West McEwen Drive and Mallory Lane in the Cool Springs corridor.
