15-Story West End Tower Site Under Contract to Richland
Richland Building Partners is under contract to buy the 1.48-acre former Piggly Wiggly site at 2900 West End Ave, where it plans a 15-story, 190-foot tower with 260 hotel rooms and 110 residences.

Richland Building Partners is under contract to buy the 1.48-acre former Piggly Wiggly site at 2900 West End Ave, where it plans a 15-story mixed-use tower. The Metro Board of Zoning Appeals approved a height variance for the project in August 2026. The 190-foot project, designed by Nashville-based Hastings, includes 260 hotel rooms and 110 residences.
The program also includes roughly 10,000 square feet of restaurant space and 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
The site held a Piggly Wiggly grocery store that closed in April 2022 and has since been razed. H.G. Hill Realty Company has owned the property for over a century.
A prior plan for the site, a 15-story mixed-use building with 305 apartments from H.G. Hill Realty and Chartwell Residential, was considered in 2022 and later dropped.
