SouthFair CDC Opens Malcolm's Point Retail Center in South Dallas
SouthFair CDC's 4,859-square-foot Malcolm's Point Retail Center at 2807 Al Lipscomb Way in South Dallas held its ribbon cutting October 8.
SouthFair Community Development Corporation has completed Malcolm's Point Retail Center, a 4,859-square-foot project at 2807 Al Lipscomb Way in South Dallas. A ribbon cutting marked completion October 8.
The $2.3 million project was financed in part by a $1.5 million City of Dallas loan and grant package approved November 13, 2024: a $1,190,354 loan from the South Dallas/Fair Park Opportunity Fund and a $312,500 grant from the Public Private Partnership Fund. Texas Mezzanine Fund provided additional support.
Initial tenants include SouthFair CDC offices (3,009 square feet) and Aunt Irene's Kitchen (1,800 square feet). Shipley Do-Nuts signed its first nonprofit franchise agreement with SouthFair CDC to join the center. The project includes retail, restaurant, office, and community space.
The building is the first phase of the development.
