Loews' 507-Room Americana Hotel Under Construction in Arlington

Americana by Loews Hotels is under construction at 1500 Convention Center Drive in Arlington's Entertainment District. The 23-story, 256-foot tower will have 507 rooms, including 39 suites, with standard rooms at 350 to 400 square feet. Loews Hotels & Co is developing; HKS Architects is designing.

The 311-room Sheraton Arlington Hotel was imploded to clear the site, and construction began in 2026. Demolition freed roughly 13 acres; the hotel and parking garage will occupy about half. A building permit valued at $227,338,653 has been issued. Completion is expected in 2029.

The hotel will offer more than 83,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a 10,000-square-foot Event Barn, a 17,337-square-foot Grand Ballroom, a 6,808-square-foot Junior Ballroom, and a 23,820-square-foot outdoor event lawn. Estimated investment exceeds $500 million.

Americana will be the third Loews property in the Entertainment District, joining Loews Arlington Hotel and Live! by Loews. The campus will total nearly 1,700 guestrooms and 374,000 square feet of event space. Arlington is expected to contribute $40 million toward development costs plus annual grants totaling more than $57 million over 25 years.
