State Office Tower Under Construction at 1715 Northside Drive
A 16-story, 250,000-square-foot state office tower is under construction at 1715 Northside Drive NW, developed by TPA Group.
The State of Georgia Office Tower is under construction at 1715 Northside Drive NW near Blandtown on Atlanta's west side. The 16-story tower will hold 250,000 square feet of office space across nine office floors. TPA Group is developing, with architecture by Poole & Poole Architecture.
The building has 15 above-grade floors plus a seven-level parking structure, one below grade and six above. The state will occupy six office floors; three will be leased to outside tenants.
The project broke ground in fall 2025, with vertical construction starting in March 2026. Completion is set for March 2028. The design team also includes Silver Studio Architects, Davis & Church Structural Engineering, and Philips Gradick Engineering.
The roughly 12-acre site was assembled from several parcels, including the former Diamond Club strip club, a Shell gas station, and a Waffle House. The Diamond Club site sold for $15 million; an adjacent 3.2-acre parcel was bought in 2014 for $5.9 million. The tower will be visible from Beltline trails and streets from Blandtown to Buckhead.
