EnerWealth Completes 2.6 MW Solar Facility in Huntersville
EnerWealth Solutions completed a 2.6 MW solar facility on Charlotte Water land at 5824 Jim Kidd Rd in Huntersville, powering about 380 homes.

The 2.6 MW McDowell Creek Solar Facility at 5824 Jim Kidd Rd in Huntersville is complete, marked by a September 24, 2026 ribbon-cutting. EnerWealth Solutions developed and owns the installation, its first utility-scale solar project. hep solar served as EPC; EnergyUnited is the power purchaser. A building permit valued at $33,294,893 was issued for the project.
The facility's 4,576 bifacial panels generate roughly 4,080 MWh annually, enough for about 380 homes, and avoid an estimated 1,580 tons of CO2 per year.
The installation occupies 10.7 acres of Charlotte Water property, disturbing only 5.5% of the host parcel. Construction required no grading and preserved existing hardwood stands and a 20-foot vegetative buffer. The site uses wildlife-friendly fencing. Charlotte Water leased the land to EnerWealth for $1 per year under a 20-year agreement.
Construction began in September 2024 and ran roughly two years.
