Austin City Council voted on September 10, 2026, to rezone three bungalow buildings at 1409, 1411 and 1413 West 6th Street in Old West Austin, approving the case on consent. The applicant is JJABC, LP (Jay W. Barnes, III and James L. Cotton), represented by Alice Glasco of Alice Glasco Consulting.
Case C14-2026-0038 rezones 0.45 acres from LO-NP and LR-MU-CO-NP to CS-CO-NP.
The property sits in the Lady Bird Lake Watershed and the Old West Austin Neighborhood Plan area; West 6th is an Imagine Austin Corridor. The rezoning carries a conditional overlay and a signed restrictive covenant, and the Old West Austin Neighborhood Association supported the request.
