Nearly 900 Acres Leave Uhland ETJ for 700 MW Data Center Campus
PowerHouse Data Centers' roughly 700 MW campus at FM 2720 and Old Spanish Trail moved forward after nearly 900 acres left Uhland's ETJ for Caldwell County jurisdiction.

Nearly 900 acres at the southwest corner of FM 2720 and Old Spanish Trail near Uhland have been withdrawn from Uhland's extraterritorial jurisdiction into Caldwell County, clearing the way for a planned data center campus from PowerHouse Data Centers. The project carries a reported capacity of roughly 700 MW. PowerHouse is owned by American Real Estate Partners (AREP).

The landowners petitioned to leave the ETJ after substantial resident pushback over the project. The move places the development under Caldwell County's purview, and PowerHouse is moving forward without city oversight, since counties have limited authority to regulate data centers under Texas law.

Waterstone Land Partners owns the property.
