Abebe Ventures proposes 3032-unit mixed-use development in Capitol View, Atlanta, featuring adaptive-reuse.
Capitol View/Sylvan Mixed-Use Development, with 3032 units, is proposed for Sylvan Road SW & Cox Avenue in Atlanta's Capitol View. It includes about 716,000 sq ft of commercial and restaurant space. Abebe Ventures leads the project with architecture by Perkins&Will.
Features include a landscaped plaza, pocket parks, and streetscape improvements. Open spaces for recreation, micro retail, and a small grocery store are planned. Existing industrial buildings will be adaptively reused.
Completion is slated for December 31, 2035.
Correction, Oct. 22, 2026: An earlier version of this story said the project spans 716,000 sq ft and has no affordable housing. The 716,000 sq ft is its commercial and restaurant space, in addition to the 3,032 homes, and no source said the plan lacks affordable housing.
