Woodrow House Rises at 840 Woodrow St SW; First Townhomes Delivered

Woodrow House, a 325-unit mixed-use development, is under construction at 840 Woodrow St SW in southwest Atlanta, near Lee + White and adjacent to the historic Murphy Crossing property. Woodfield Development is the developer, with Dynamik Design as architect. The mid-rise project is scheduled for full delivery later in 2026.

The first phase, 25 build-to-rent townhomes, delivered in August 2026. Townhome rents start at $3,079 per month; overall rents range from $1,300 to $3,000. The project includes 66 affordable and workforce units at 80% AMI, exceeding Atlanta's Inclusionary Zoning requirements, with 5% of units reserved for voucher holders.

Amenities include a resort-style pool, grilling stations, a sky deck, coworking space, a podcast studio, a dog park, a pet spa, and walking paths. The development adds more than 12,000 square feet of retail along a future Beltline spur trail, including a retail plaza, a food container court with repurposed shipping container storefronts, and public art. An existing building on site is being adaptively reused as a headquarters and workforce training facility for a local coffee roaster.

The site required $1.5 million in brownfield remediation. The project is expected to generate more than 500 construction jobs and 40 permanent jobs. The team includes Fortune Johnson (general contractor), Krywicki Interior Design, Kimley-Horn (civil engineering and landscape architecture), and Gallery Residential (pre-leasing).
