Hazel Doral Under Construction at 8300 NW 33rd Street in Doral

Hazel Doral, a 380-unit apartment development, is under construction at 8300 NW 33rd Street in Doral. The seven-story project is being developed by ZOM Living and Ascentris, with MSA Architects, Inc. as architect. Construction began in February 2026; completion is expected in 2027.

The project replaces the three-story, 109,559-square-foot Westside Plaza II office building, built in 1998, on a 6.57-acre parcel acquired for $26.5 million. Units range from roughly 570-square-foot studios to 1,270-square-foot three-bedrooms. Total investment is $119 million, backed by a $92.3 million construction loan from PNC Bank. Building permits have been issued.

Of the 380 units, 152 (40 percent) are designated workforce housing under Florida's Live Local Act, serving residents earning up to 120 percent of area median income. The project includes 789 parking spaces, 75 for electric vehicles.
