Dallas ISD Registers $168M W.W. Samuell High School Replacement
Dallas ISD registered a new W.W. Samuell High School for 2,000 students at 8928 Palisade Dr. at $168 million. The old campus is being demolished.

Dallas ISD has registered a new W.W. Samuell High School campus at 8928 Palisade Dr. in southeast Dallas with the state, at an estimated construction cost of $168 million. The September filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation describes a new high school for 2,000 students. It will house classrooms, science, special education, CTE, visual and performing arts, and athletics spaces.
The district budgets $200 million for the new campus through its 2026 Bond Program. Voters approved the $6.2 billion bond on May 2, 2026, the largest school bond in Texas history.
The existing campus entered the demolition process this summer, according to Dallas ISD. Samuell students are attending classes at the former Piedmont G.L.O.B.A.L. Academy campus in the meantime.
Corgan is the architect. Planning and design are in progress. The district's bond tracker lists the contractor, construction start and opening date as to be determined.
