Sycamore at Monroe Under Construction at 2601 Morgan Mill Road

Sycamore at Monroe, a 275-unit apartment development, is under construction at 2601 Morgan Mill Road in Monroe. Financing for the project came together with the closing of a $48 million construction loan from Dwight Mortgage Trust on November 20, 2025. Switzenbaum & Associates is developing the $80 million project, with completion expected in 2027.

The 23.44-acre site holds five four-story residential buildings plus a clubhouse. The unit mix is 115 one-bedrooms (792 to 898 square feet) and 160 two-bedrooms (1,133 to 1,211 square feet). Rents start around $1,700 per month. The project is billed as Monroe's first midrise apartment building at four stories.

Amenities include a gated entry, rentable garages, elevators, a resort-style pool, a clubhouse, a fitness center with a dedicated studio, pickleball courts, a putting green, walking paths, a 3-acre pond with a fountain, and green space.

Monroe City Council approved the rezoning on October 10, 2023.
