Unconventional ATX, the Austin Convention Center redevelopment, is underway at 500 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin. Spanning 1,437,569 sq ft, it is developed by the Austin Convention Center Department with architects LMN and Page.
Completion is slated for December 31, 2028. Features include open-air terraces, public plazas, indoor-outdoor spaces, and artist-driven installations. A public art program aims for ILFI Zero Carbon and LEED certifications.
Strategically located, it offers easy access to major streets and highways, enhancing connectivity and contributing to Austin's urban landscape.
Correction, Oct. 22, 2026: An earlier version of this story said the project is a 30-story, 320-foot tower. It is the Austin Convention Center redevelopment, and its building permits list five floors.
