Herndon Square Phase III, with 178 units, 151 of them affordable, is underway.
Herndon Square Phase III, featuring 178 residential units, is under construction on the former Herndon Homes public housing site in Atlanta. The development spans 5 floors, developed by Pennrose with Atlanta Housing and Hunt Companies.
Amenities include a fitness center, business and learning center, community room, courtyard, and picnic area. An enclosed parking deck serves residents and guests. Completion is set for June 30, 2027.
The project includes 151 affordable housing units and aims for EarthCraft Multifamily and ENERGY STAR certifications, focusing on sustainability and energy efficiency.
Correction, Oct. 22, 2026: An earlier version of this story said Phase III includes 150 hotel rooms and 1,700,000 sq ft, named BRP Companies as developer and Gensler as architect, and gave Phase II's address. Phase III is 178 apartments with no hotel, developed by Pennrose with Atlanta Housing and Hunt Companies.
