Woodie's Wash Shack Fishhawk Site Sells for $13.9M

The Woodie's Wash Shack site at 15256 Fishhawk Blvd in Lithia has sold for $13,888,889. A deed transferred the property from WWS 21.021 Fishhawk LLC to WWS Fishhawk LLC. The seller is a foreign limited liability company registered in Florida with a principal address at 142 W Platt St, Tampa.

The 6,500-square-foot car wash sits at the northeast corner of Fishhawk Blvd and Osprey Ridge Dr on the former CenterState Bank site. Construction started August 21, 2023; the wash opened in July 2024.

The facility has a 100-to-120-foot tunnel built to fit vehicles up to 7 feet 2 inches wide and tall, a 1950s surf-inspired design, and a system recycling roughly 75 percent of water used.

A 2022 rezoning increased allowable building area from 3,544 to 6,500 square feet. More than 300 residents submitted letters of concern over traffic, noise and water conservation.

The location, the 16th Woodie's in Tampa Bay, held a 10-day free wash promotion July 17-27, 2024, followed by an October 4 ribbon cutting.
