Moffitt Proposes Cancer Drug Manufacturing Hub in Land O'Lakes

Moffitt Cancer Center has proposed a cancer drug manufacturing hub at 16828 Ridge Road in Land O'Lakes, part of the FORGE at Speros initiative.

The facility will house radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and isotope production. The broader FORGE effort also includes an incubator for biotech startups and workforce training programs. It is one of five interconnected efforts spanning construction, isotope production, drug manufacturing, startup support and workforce training.

Funding commitments total more than $247 million in public and private money: $200 million in private-sector commitments announced by the U.S. Department of Commerce and a proposed $47.3 million federal award from the Economic Development Administration's Disaster Supplemental program. About $88.2 million has been collected since FORGE launched in May 2026, including matching funds.

The FORGE coalition includes Moffitt, Speros, the University of South Florida, Pasco-Hernando State College and Embarc Collective. Projections call for 4,000 high-wage jobs and $2.6 billion in statewide economic impact over 10 years. More than $600 million in broader infrastructure investment supports the Speros campus.

Moffitt opened its 250,000-square-foot Discovery and Innovation Center at Speros on Oct. 22. The FORGE incubator is expected to open in early 2028.
