Hammer Haag Steel Campus Approved in Largo

Hammer Haag Steel Inc. has won approval for a 176,500-square-foot industrial campus at 2063 20th Ave SE in Largo. The project spans 10.5 acres, with completion targeted for the end of 2027.

The company bought the site for $8.6 million in an off-market deal that closed May 1, 2025. Miami-based investment firm Sason was the seller; Franklin Street brokered the transaction. The Southwest Florida Water Management District has approved an environmental resource permit for the site.

The $37.5 million expansion is self-funded. Reported facility size varies by source: the project filing lists 176,500 square feet, the Tampa Bay Business Journal has reported 228,000 square feet, and the company's website references a 250,000-square-foot addition.

Founded in 2011 by Constantin Haag, the company operates roughly 170,000 to 180,000 square feet of shop space in Clearwater. The Largo campus significantly expands its Pinellas County manufacturing footprint.
