USF Proposes 120K SF Bellini College Building on Tampa Campus
USF has proposed a three-story, 120,000-square-foot building for its Bellini College of AI, Cybersecurity and Computing at Lee Roy Collins Boulevard and USF Alumni Drive.

USF has proposed a three-story, approximately 120,000-square-foot building for the Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing at Lee Roy Collins Boulevard and USF Alumni Drive on the Tampa campus. Completion is targeted for June 30, 2028. Alfonso Architects produced the renderings.
The college, the nation's first named college focused on AI, cybersecurity and computing, was established with a record $40 million gift from Arnie and Lauren Bellini. It currently operates out of the USF Tampa Library, serving more than 3,000 students across 15 degree programs.

Planned spaces include classrooms, teaching and research labs, high-tech labs and collaborative study areas. The building will house Florida's first university AI and Cyber Makerspace, funded by a $2 million NIST grant, plus hardware testing environments. Earlier estimates ranged from 80,000 to 110,000 gross square feet.
The project has $35 million in state funding: $10 million in 2025 and $25 million in the 2026-27 budget. No groundbreaking date or final project cost has been announced.
