The Aurelian Under Construction at 114 Calabria Avenue in Coral Gables
Empira Group's 161-unit, 12-story project at 114 Calabria Avenue in Coral Gables is under construction, with completion targeted for Q2 2028.

The Aurelian, a 161-unit residential development, is under construction at 114 Calabria Avenue (912-921 East Ponce de Leon Boulevard) in Coral Gables. The 12-story, 324,000-square-foot building will rise 143 feet. Empira Group is developing, with architecture by Behar Font & Partners. A $25 million building permit has been issued; the project broke ground in May and went vertical in August.

Residences span one- to three-bedroom layouts with oversized private balconies. The roofline features a crown-like architectural element. Parking totals 248 spaces. Completion is targeted for Q2 2028.

Amenities include a resort-style pool, outdoor lounges, fitness center, private yoga studio, coworking space, entertainment lounge, pet grooming suite, and EV charging. The project adds a 6,000-square-foot public park with a children's play area on the site's western side, plus a bronze sculpture by Michele Oka Doner. There is no ground-floor retail; pedestrian improvements include a colonnade and expanded sidewalks.
Empira acquired the 1.2-acre site for $18 million in August 2025 and secured an $81 million construction loan from Pearlmark, arranged by CBRE's Charles Crapse and Denny St. Romain. The site was approved in 2018 for a nearly identical project, Regency on the Park, that was never built. The Aurelian is Empira's first Coral Gables project and its third multifamily development under construction in the region.
