Greystar Breaks Ground on 526-Unit St. Johns Redevelopment
Greystar's 526-unit mixed-use project at 800 E. St. Johns Avenue is under construction, with 366 affordable units, a 4-acre park, and completion set for late 2028.
Greystar Development Central, LLC has broken ground on the St. Johns site redevelopment at 800 E. St. Johns Avenue in north Austin. The mixed-use project will deliver 526 units by the end of 2028, with design by Meeks + Partners, Lemmo Architecture and Design, and TBG Partners.
366 of the 526 units are designated affordable. The public realm package includes a 4-acre neighborhood park with a splash pad, pavilion, playground, walking trails, and a public art installation.
The site also features community-serving retail, shaded sidewalks, and pedestrian and bicycle connections to the surrounding area. It sits near the I-35 corridor in the St. Johns neighborhood, which has seen increasing redevelopment activity.
Completion is expected December 31, 2028.
