Space Craft Lands $70.6M Loan for 371-Unit Mira in Optimist Park
Anchor Loans provided a $70.6 million senior construction loan for Mira, Space Craft's $122 million, eight-story mixed-use project at 2323 N. Davidson St.

Space Craft has secured a $70.6 million senior construction loan from Anchor Loans for Mira, a $122 million mixed-use project at 2323 N. Davidson St. in Charlotte's Optimist Park. The loan came through Anchor's Institutional Lending platform. It is Anchor's third deal with Space Craft.
Mira will rise eight stories with 371 apartments, from studios to three-bedrooms, and 9,765 square feet of ground-floor retail. Planned retail uses include food and beverage, neighborhood services and fitness.

Philippe Le Quellec designed the project. Shook Kelley is architect of record and Elford is general contractor. The building uses a hybrid mass-timber structure by Quality Buildings.
Construction is expected to begin this fall, with opening anticipated in fall 2028. Amenities total more than 8,000 square feet, including a rooftop terrace and lounge, a coworking lounge, a mezzanine library, fitness and yoga spaces, a landscaped courtyard and Space Craft's first on-site pool.
The site fronts the Cross Charlotte Trail next to Urban District Market. Textile Rubber & Chemical Company operated there from the 1950s through 2023. Mira is Space Craft's fourth community in the neighborhood, after Joinery, Oxbow and Cordo.
