Northwood Ravin Clears LoSo Library Site for 300-Unit Project
Northwood Ravin demolished the former Scaleybark Library at 101 Scaleybark Road, clearing the site for a 300-unit mixed-use project in LoSo.
Northwood Ravin demolished the former Scaleybark Library at 101 Scaleybark Road during the week of October 29, clearing the site for the Crosland Centre Redevelopment. The planned project includes 300 apartments and roughly 21,400 square feet of retail.
Northwood Ravin filed the demolition permit with Mecklenburg County on October 19. Kingdom Demolition handled the teardown. The branch had been vacant since early 2020, when the new South Boulevard Library opened.
The project is part of the 36.4-acre Crosland Greens redevelopment around the Scaleybark light-rail station. The master plan calls for more than 1.6 million square feet of office, retail, restaurant, residential and green space. The Sloan at LoSo, 368 apartments at 120 Hollis Road, opened in 2025 as the first phase.
The site sits adjacent to the Scaleybark station on the Lynx Blue Line at South Boulevard and Scaleybark Road.
