Queen City Quarter, the mixed-use complex at 210 E. Trade Street in Uptown Charlotte, has sold to a joint venture of Lincoln Property Company, Vision Ventures and Hornets Sports & Entertainment. The sale price was not disclosed.
The 302,324-square-foot property, formerly EpiCentre, sits on about 3.17 acres with restaurant, retail, entertainment and office space across four levels. It includes the 175-room Aloft Charlotte City Center hotel and 1,100 underground parking spaces. The Ghazi Company developed the complex, which opened in 2008 at a cost of $220 million. Deutsche Bank acquired it for $95 million at a 2022 foreclosure auction, and it was renamed Queen City Quarter that September as part of an earlier revitalization effort.
The new owners plan to reposition the property for dining, retail and entertainment. Amenities include a public plaza and a direct connection to the Overstreet Mall.
The property offers direct LYNX Blue Line light rail access along the Trade Street corridor connecting Spectrum Center and the Charlotte Convention Center in the center of Uptown.
