The ground-floor retail at the Lowe's Global Technology Center, 100 W Worthington Ave in South End, has sold to an affiliate of Hines Global Income Trust. A recorded deed dated July 21, 2026 shows a sale price of $18,335,000 for the commercial parcel, with NNN AGP Opp III Owner III LLC as the seller. The retail sale is a separate transaction from the trust's $170 million acquisition of the Design Center of the Carolinas, a 239,000-square-foot mixed-use property it bought from Asana Partners in July 2026.

The 23-story, 357-foot tower totals 377,956 square feet, including roughly 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Childress Klein developed it in a joint venture with RAM Realty Advisors, with architecture by Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio. Construction started in August 2019; the building opened in fall 2021.

The tower sold in November 2021 to an Apollo Global Management affiliate for $318 million, or $889 per square foot, a Charlotte record at the time. The LEED Gold building houses about 2,000 Lowe's technology employees. Amenities include outdoor workspaces, co-working dining and lobby spaces, floor-to-ceiling glass offices, and a 900-space parking garage with dedicated executive parking.

It is the only South End office building with direct access to both the Lynx Blue Line and the Rail Trail. It was the neighborhood's tallest building under grandfathered zoning until 2025, when the 556-foot Queensbridge Collective Vivian opened.
