City's Edge, a 110-unit mixed-use project at 1450 Colwell Street in Uptown, is under construction and welcoming its first residents.
City's Edge, a 110-unit mixed-use development, is under construction at 1450 Colwell Street in Uptown. The seven-story building totals 211,765 square feet. MidPoint Group of Companies is the developer; Strada LLC is the architect.
The building includes 173,124 square feet of residential space and 38,641 square feet of commercial space. Of the 110 rental units, 92 are affordable at or below 60 percent of area median income. The project includes a 508-space parking garage.
Total cost is approximately $65 million, financed in part with 4 percent and 9 percent Low Income Housing Tax Credits. The project is part of the Bedford Dwellings Choice Neighborhood Initiative redevelopment.
Groundbreaking was held September 28, 2023. Residents began moving in during 2026 while construction continued.
