Charlotte City Council approved Rezoning Petition 2026-035 on Sept. 21, clearing the way for 64 townhomes at 3998 Beatties Ford Road in west Charlotte. DreamKey Partners, a Charlotte-based affordable housing nonprofit, is the developer.
The petition was initially filed with a general location east of Beatties Ford Road; the address is now confirmed as 3998 Beatties Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216. The site sits along the Beatties Ford Road corridor, a historically significant commercial and residential spine in west Charlotte.
The approved plan includes one affordable housing unit among the 64 townhomes.
With rezoning secured, the project moves to permitting and site plan review. Construction documents and final site plans require city approval before work begins.
The site is served by CATS Route 7 along Beatties Ford Road, connecting the corridor to uptown, with access to Interstate 77 and LaSalle Street.
