Parkway Corporation has acquired a 50,526-square-foot surface parking lot with 113 spaces at 289 Marietta St. NW in downtown Atlanta.

The site sits near Centennial Olympic Park, the Georgia World Congress Center, and State Farm Arena along one of downtown's primary corridors. Surface lots in the area have drawn increasing developer interest as land values rise and large-scale projects reshape the blocks around the park.

Parkway Corporation is a Philadelphia-based parking operator with a national portfolio and a track record of acquiring urban surface lots both as operating assets and as development plays. The deal expands its Atlanta presence.

No redevelopment plans have been filed, and the lot continues operating as parking. Any future redevelopment would go through the city's permitting and, depending on scope, zoning review.

The property is within walking distance of the GWCC/CNN Center MARTA station (Blue and Green lines) and offers direct access to the I-75/85 Downtown Connector.
