Alpharetta has approved Jamestown LP's mixed-use redevelopment of North Point Mall at 1000 North Point Circle. The sports and entertainment district includes 1,385 residential units, 650 hotel rooms, and buildings up to 20 floors.
The centerpiece is a 20,000-seat NHL-ready arena, plus a 4,000-seat music hall and performing arts center and a 2,000-seat practice facility doubling as a community ice rink. A movie theater with 500 to 1,100 seats is also planned.
The hotel includes a 30,000- to 45,000-square-foot conference center. The site plan allocates 26 to 27 acres for parks, plazas, and trails, with 8,750 parking spaces district-wide.
The project connects to the Alpha Loop trail system and incorporates MARTA bus infrastructure. The site fronts North Point Parkway near GA 400.
