The Morehouse School of Medicine / Atrium Health teaching hospital has been approved at 675 Metropolitan Parkway SW in The MET Atlanta, Southwest Atlanta. The 7-story, $700 million project, developed by Morehouse School of Medicine, moves from proposed to approved status.

The hospital will include a 24/7 emergency department, a Level III trauma center, obstetrics, a NICU, and adult critical care. Diagnostic and procedural capabilities include advanced imaging, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and endoscopy.
Beyond acute care, the mixed-use campus will house medical offices, research facilities, and a healthplex. The MET Atlanta, the former Atlanta Metropolitan State College site along Metropolitan Parkway, has been repositioned as a large redevelopment district.
