Centrum Cancels Three-Tower SoBro Project
Centrum Realty & Development has cancelled its three-tower mixed-use project at 500 Second Ave. S. in SoBro, which called for 890 units and a 240-room hotel.

The Rutledge Hill Mixed Use project, a three-tower development planned for 500 Second Ave. S. in SoBro, has been cancelled. Proposed by Centrum Realty & Development with architecture by Gensler, plans called for 890 residential units, a 240-room hotel, and towers rising 39 floors to 448 feet.
The project included a 70,000-square-foot central public park, rooftop pool deck, hotel ballroom and conference suite, lobby bar and restaurant, and ground-floor retail. Parking was planned across three underground levels.
The status changed from proposed to cancelled with no construction activity at the site. This is the newsletter's first coverage of the project.
