Cheekwood Breaks Ground on 674-Space Parking Pavilion
Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is building a three-level, 674-space parking pavilion and welcome plaza at 1200 Forrest Park Drive, designed by HASTINGS.
The Cheekwood Parking Pavilion & Welcome Plaza is under construction at 1200 Forrest Park Drive in Belle Meade, on the Cheekwood Estate & Gardens campus. Developed by Cheekwood and designed by HASTINGS, the project delivers 674 spaces across three levels. It is the site's first appearance as active construction after previously tracking as proposed.
The three parking levels sit below grade with open-air ventilation, limiting visual impact on the estate grounds. Above them, a ticketing center and welcome plaza will serve as the visitor entry point for the gardens and museum.
The structure is topped by a 28,000-square-foot green roof with new gardens, and a rainwater harvesting system will supply site irrigation. Other features include EV charging and a dedicated rideshare drop-off.
Completion is slated for December 31, 2027. The pavilion will consolidate visitor parking and arrival functions into a single facility.
