Franklin Approves Four Developments Totaling 512 Units

Franklin approved four residential developments totaling 512 units, including 241 affordable units, across sites on Goose Creek Bypass, West Meade Blvd, Natchez St, and Clovercroft Rd.

Franklin officials approved four residential developments totaling 512 units at 2408-2412 Goose Creek Bypass, 500 West Meade Blvd, 137 Natchez St, and the corner of Clovercroft Rd and Oxford Glen Dr. The projects: Bassett PUD, Iris Place, Denson Place, and Poplars Reserve.

Madison Capital Group is developing the Bassett PUD through Cameron Goose Creek Owner, LLC, with plans for a pedestrian courtyard and accessible resident porches. The Franklin Housing Authority is developing Iris Place and Denson Place; Iris Place will include a community center.

Of the 512 units, 241 are affordable—roughly 47 percent of the package. The projects are classified as residential with mixed-use components, spread from the Goose Creek Bypass corridor on the east side to the Clovercroft Road area in the growing southeast.

With approvals in place, the projects can advance to permitting and construction. Iris Place and Denson Place mark a significant expansion of the Housing Authority's footprint, which has previously focused on smaller scattered-site properties.
