Mandarin Oriental One Island Drive Breaks Ground on Brickell Key
Swire Properties has started construction on a 66-story, 850-foot tower with 322 residences and a 121-room Mandarin Oriental hotel on Brickell Key.
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences at One Island Drive is under construction at 750 Claughton Island Dr on Brickell Key. A $237 million building permit has been issued for the 66-story, 850-foot tower, which totals 1,286,326 square feet with 322 residential units and 121 hotel rooms. Swire Properties is developing, with Kohn Pedersen Fox as architect.
The project combines a Mandarin Oriental hotel and branded residences in a single tower on the gated island enclave off the Brickell financial district. Completion is slated for December 31, 2030.

Amenities include multi-tiered landscaped infinity pools, waterfront cabanas, sports courts, a spa and wellness deck, resident and executive work lounges, and private dining rooms with chef kitchens. The tower will also offer restaurants and bars, a resort-style podium, and an extension of the baywalk along the island's waterfront perimeter.
Brickell Key connects to the mainland via a single bridge at Brickell Avenue, near the Brickell Metrorail and Metromover stations.
