Hines has won approval for Brown Ranch, a 3,800-unit mixed-use master-planned community in west Fort Worth. The site sits north of Old Weatherford Road, south of White Settlement Road, and northeast of Walsh Ranch, near the Tarrant-Parker county line.

The plan is organized around the site's natural features: preserved mature trees, rolling terrain, and a creek corridor. An interconnected trail system will link the neighborhoods.

Amenities include three amenity centers and 10 neighborhood parks. The mixed-use designation allows residential and other uses.
