Lakewood Ranch Southeast Final Phases Approved
Sarasota County approved Schroeder-Manatee Ranch's final Lakewood Ranch Southeast phases, a 1,088-unit project with 93 affordable units.

Sarasota County approved the final phases of Lakewood Ranch Southeast, Project Areas 4 and 5. The 1,088-unit residential development sits between Fruitville Road and University Parkway. Schroeder-Manatee Ranch is the developer, with RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture handling planning and landscape design.
The approval marks the first confirmed move forward for these phases, previously tracked as proposed. Of the 1,088 units, 93 are designated affordable housing, a change from earlier filings that showed no affordable component.
Amenities include resort-style pools and spas, clubhouses with event space, fitness centers, tennis and pickleball courts, playgrounds, trails, and town centers. The package follows the master-planned format used across Lakewood Ranch.
The site sits along two main east-west corridors. Fruitville Road connects to Interstate 75 and downtown Sarasota. University Parkway runs south toward University Town Center and north into Manatee County.
