Citadel's global headquarters is under construction at 1201 Brickell Bay Drive in Brickell, with a $5 million building permit recently issued. Latest filings show the tower at 52 stories and 954 feet, totaling 1.71 million square feet. Related Companies is developing, with Foster + Partners as architect.

The 2026 redesign cut the original 63-story supertall to 52 stories and eliminated 212 planned hotel rooms. Plans call for roughly 1.642 million square feet of office, 69,951 square feet of retail, 40,167 square feet of open space, and 40 parking spaces. Citadel and Citadel Securities will occupy about 560,000 square feet, roughly a third of the tower. Project cost is estimated at $2.5 billion, up from an initial $1 billion. Ken Griffin bought the site in 2022 for $363 million.

Amenities include a rooftop pavilion, observation deck, fitness center, restaurants, a ballroom, a public baywalk, a private amenity deck with pools, and an illuminated crown. The broader campus adds a planned 300-unit residential building and a 1,420-space garage. Miami-Dade commissioners unanimously approved the plans in December 2025, including a variance for a 40-foot setback from Biscayne Bay; Citadel agreed to contribute $4 million toward Metromover improvements.

Construction began March 1, 2026, but the site has been under a Miami-Dade stop-work order since September 14, after an 85-foot drilling rig collapsed onto Brickell Bay Drive, injuring four. OSHA and the county are investigating; the contractor must submit a safety plan before work resumes. Completion is targeted for December 31, 2030, with delivery likely in the early 2030s.
