Crescent Real Estate paid $72.9 million in October 2026 for air rights above 300 South Tryon Street in uptown Charlotte. The deal covers four parcels totaling 0.65 acres above the 300 South Tryon office tower and the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel.

300 South Tryon is a 25-story, 638,000-square-foot office tower standing 463 feet. Spectrum Companies developed the mixed-use project, designed by LS3P. Construction started in December 2014 and wrapped in 2017 at a cost of $330 million.

The site also includes the 18-story, 217-key Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel, plus the Merchant & Trade rooftop bar and Angeline's restaurant. Cousins Properties acquired the tower from Barings for $317.5 million on January 5, 2026.
