The Ferguson, an 82-unit mixed-use condominium project, is under construction at 1300 W. Second St. in Taylor. The four-story building is the city's first condominium project. Metropolitan Development Company is the developer; Pappageorge Haymes is the architect.
Previously tracked as a proposal, the project has moved into active construction with completion expected August 31, 2027.
The building includes ground-floor retail and live/work units. Residences feature Italian kitchens, Bosch appliances, and high ceilings. Garage parking is planned.
The condo format is new to Taylor, a Williamson County market historically dominated by single-family homes and apartments that has drawn increased development as the Austin metro expands north.
