EdgeConneX Proposes 2.6M SF Data Center Campus in Cedar Creek
EdgeConneX has proposed a 2.6M SF data center campus at 382 Earl Callahan Road in Cedar Creek, with Anthropic in lease talks and completion targeted for late 2028.
EdgeConneX Inc. has proposed the Pacifico Cedar Creek Campus, a 2,614,000-square-foot single-story data center development at 382 Earl Callahan Road in Cedar Creek, Bastrop County. Anthropic is reportedly in lease talks for the campus. Completion is targeted for December 31, 2028.
The campus will include 710 MW of on-site natural gas-fired generation, allowing it to operate independent of the regional grid, plus a closed-loop cooling system to reduce water demand. Other features include Dark Sky lighting and 13 acres set aside for community use. The site was previously listed under FM 535 addresses before being updated to Earl Callahan Road.
Earlier records showed the site approved as the Anthropic Bastrop County Data Center Campus with a March 2029 completion date. It has since been refiled as proposed under EdgeConneX's EDCAUS13, EDCAUS14, EDCAUS31, and EDCAUS32 designations, with the timeline moved up to late 2028. The project must clear Bastrop County permitting and review before construction.
