The project, currently in proposed status, would support AI and HPC workloads. Expected completion is September 30, 2027. The 200-acre footprint ranks among the larger data center developments in Central Texas, where AI infrastructure demand has driven significant industrial land activity.
Rockdale sits along US Highway 79, roughly 60 miles northeast of downtown Austin, with nearby access to US Highway 77. The site's Alcoa-era infrastructure suits large-scale, power-intensive uses such as data centers.
