Austin United Alliance Apartments, a 78-unit, six-story building at 5200 W. Chicago Ave in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, is complete. The 80-foot-tall, 104,000-square-foot project was developed by Pivotal Housing Partners and designed by Valerio Dewalt Train Associates.
Fifty of the 78 units are affordable. Parking includes 28 spaces and a 43-bike indoor room. The project was previously tracked as Soul City before its address was confirmed.
Amenities include a public landscaped courtyard, rooftop deck, fitness center, community room, and on-site laundry; the building is pet-friendly. The project incorporates the restored historic Laramie State Bank building, planned for a bank branch, cafe, Blues Museum, and co-working space.
The site fronts Chicago Avenue, a major east-west corridor with CTA bus service; the Green Line's Central Avenue station is to the south.
