The AC Hotel by Marriott Austin Downtown East, a 130-room, five-story project, has been approved at 1612 E. 7th St in East Austin. Patriot Hospitality is developing the $34 million project, with architecture by Merriman Pitt/Anderson, Inc. The project moved from proposed to approved status in its first tracked filing.
The hotel will rise 60 feet across 86,797 square feet, with 89 parking spaces. Completion is reported for December 31, 2030.
Amenities include a pool, fitness center, and meeting space, plus a ground-floor restaurant, bar, and cocktail lounge.
The site sits along the East 7th Street corridor, which has seen steady hotel and mixed-use activity in recent years. With approval secured, the project moves to permitting ahead of construction.
