The Excelsior Club Reconstruction is approved at 921 Beatties Ford Road in the Historic West End, moving from proposed to approved status. Kennedy Properties & Development is developing the two-story, 3,700-square-foot mixed-use building, with architecture by Andre Johnson Architect.

The project reconstructs the historic Excelsior Club, once one of the most prominent Black social clubs in the Southeast. Plans include a full-service restaurant, live performance venue, community meeting space, and museum, with a replicated historic facade and the club's signature entrance.
