Beltline Northwest Trail Segment 3B Breaks Ground

Construction is underway on Atlanta Beltline Northwest Trail Segment 3B, running from Trabert Avenue to Tanyard Creek Park in northwest Atlanta (30318). This is the newsletter's first tracking of the project, which has moved from proposed to active construction. Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is developing the segment; Kaizen Collaborative is the designer.

The segment features a 14-foot-wide multi-use trail, a pedestrian bridge over Northside Drive, and an elevated trail structure. Other elements include lighting, security cameras, green-infrastructure stormwater management, and landscaping coordinated with Trees Atlanta.

The completion date was revised from November 30, 2028 to December 31, 2028. The project address was also refined during tracking, from a general corridor description near the Atlanta Technology Center under I-75 to the current Trabert Avenue–Tanyard Creek Park route.

Segment 3B is part of the broader Northwest Trail corridor, which will extend the Beltline into northwest-side neighborhoods. The route crosses Northside Drive, a major north-south arterial, and connects to Tanyard Creek Park.
